Yellow Fever is a serious disease caused by the Yellow Fever virus (Flavivirus). There is no specific treatment or cure for yellow fever. The yellow fever virus is transmitted through the bite of infected mosquitoes. Yellow Fever is characterised by high fever, as well as yellowing of the eyes and skin due to liver dysfunction.

Composition of STAMARIL Vaccine

Each dose (0.5 ml) contains the active ingredient of live attenuated Yellow Fever virus strain 17D/AB 237.

Contraindication of STAMARIL Vaccine

  • Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the vaccine.
  • History of severe allergy to previous Yellow Fever vaccines.
  • History of immunodeficiency pregnancy.

Special Attention for VAXIGRIP TETRA Vaccine

  • Vaccination should be postponed in individuals experiencing fever, acute or chronic infections.
  • Vaccine administration needs to be monitored in individuals aged 65 and above (increases the risk of serious side effects and may last >48 hours).
