Inlive vaccine is an inactivated vaccine used to prevent Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD), also known as Singapore flu, caused by Enterovirus 71 (EV71), not by the common influenza virus.

This vaccine helps prevent Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD), commonly known as Singapore flu, which is caused by Enterovirus type 71 (EV71). The virus is highly contagious and spreads through respiratory droplets, contaminated objects, close contact with infected individuals, and fecal–oral transmission.

Symptoms usually begin with fever, sore throat, and body aches, followed by the appearance of painful and itchy red spots or blisters on the hands, feet, and inside the mouth.

HFMD most commonly affects children under 5 years of age and can lead to serious complications, including meningitis.

Composition of INLIVE

Each 0.5 mL dose contains:
Enterovirus type 71 (EV71), H07 strain

Excipients:
Aluminum hydroxide, Sodium chloride, Disodium hydrogen phosphate, Sodium dihydrogen phosphate
Water for injection

Side Effect of INLIVE

Fever, Diarrhea, Decreased appetite, Pain, swelling, and redness at the injection,site

Contraindication of INLIVE

  • Hypersensitivity to any vaccine component
  • History of severe allergic reaction to a previous HFMD vaccine
  • History of severe allergy to gentamicin sulfate
